- 8 oz fresh or dried Chinese wheat noodles (or spaghetti)
- 1/2 lb ground beef or chicken

- 2 cups bok choy or spinach, steamed
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon black vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns, ground (optional)
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
- Chopped green onions
- Crushed peanuts or sesame seeds
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine chili oil, sesame paste, soy sauce, black vinegar, sugar, Sichuan peppercorns (if using), and hot water; mix well.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef or chicken; cook until browned. Stir in minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and hoisin sauce; cook for an additional 2 minutes.
