  • cornstarch

Instructions

  1. For the tart shell, mix flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly; blend in egg yolk and chill.
  2. Blind bake the shell at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until firm.
  3. Prepare the bottom ganache by heating cream and pouring over chopped chocolate; stir until smooth and chill in the tart shell.
  4. Make the pistachio layer by blending pistachios with milk; cook with cream and sugar until thickened. Fold in chopped pistachios and spread over set ganache.
  5. Create the top ganache by combining heated cream with chocolate and butter; pour over pistachio layer.
  6. Chill the finished tart for at least one hour before slicing.
