Instructions

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until well combined. Fold in apples and nuts if using.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
