  • 2 tsp salt (divided)
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp rubbed sage (divided)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • A sprinkle of nutmeg
  • 2 tsp chili powder

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Sauté sliced carrots, sweet potatoes, and diced apples with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, sage, cinnamon, and nutmeg for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground turkey and cook until no longer pink (5-7 minutes).
  4. Stir in tomato paste and chili powder; mix well.
  5. Pour in crushed tomatoes and kidney beans; combine ingredients.
  6. Reduce heat to low-medium and simmer for 20-30 minutes before serving.
