  • 1 egg (for brushing)
  • 1 tablespoon cream or milk (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and yeast. Add egg, milk, vanilla, and orange marmalade; mix until incorporated.
  2. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes. Incorporate sugar and salt; mix until absorbed.
  3. Add butter and knead until smooth; refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter evenly across it.
  5. Fold edges to the center to form a package; chill again for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out into a rectangle (20x35cm) and cut into triangles.
  7. Roll each triangle from base to tip to shape into cornetti.
  8. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with beaten egg mixed with cream or milk, and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Let rise until doubled (about 30 minutes), then bake at 180°C for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
