Ingredients
- 5 Butter croissants
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Almond flour
- 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Water (for simple syrup)
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar (for simple syrup)
- 10 tbsp Sliced almonds (for topping)
- 3 tbsp Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan, heat water and granulated sugar over medium heat until dissolved to make simple syrup. Let cool.
- In a bowl, combine butter, salt, and granulated sugar; mix until creamy. Add eggs, then almond flour and all-purpose flour; blend until smooth.
- Slice croissants in half horizontally and brush with simple syrup. Pipe or spread almond cream inside each croissant half.
- Top with more almond cream and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for about 15–20 minutes or until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
